I'm afraid that it was because Dr. Lee Yuan Tseh did not like the Lien-Sung team personally, so he supported Bian in 2004. In fact, he is a Taiwanese, whereas, Lien-Sung are foreign provincers. All three were PhD's. They did give a dame to one another. Thirdly, Bian and DPP gave him the highest honor and rerspect as a national teacher. I would say that election is a highly emotionally charged process, a personal preference, and can be biased. All the commotions that a campaign runs is to stir up voters emotion.

Besides, it was the 2 bullets that helped Bian to the 2nd term. And Bian became even more indulgent in power playing and money grabing. Wouldn't a smart guy like Lee know it before hand? .

KMT is careful about the aubu (trickery) that Frank Hsieh and DPP may play. Green card is a choice under one circumstance and may be forfeited under another circumstance. Ma Ying made a right decision to stay in Taiwan and forfeit the green card, which should not hamper his loyalty to the Republic of China.

10 years river east and 10 years river west. Bian and DPP has had it for 8 years and became corrupted. Whereas, KMT has under gone reform and become ready. It's time for Ma and KMT to serve for better and for all.

I agree with Mama that election is an emotional process. The more visible, the more people get to know, the more voters he will draw. If he or she is good looking, it would be even better.

I figure about 40% voters go along with the look, charm, and personal cherisma; 30% go with the beef; and another 30% don't care.

Mr. Lee Denhuie who succeeded Jiang Jinguo and furthered Taiwan's democratic reform, said that Mr. Lee Yuan Tseh who never held a political position, knew just about every thing a little...just a little.

Both Lees are PhD's and they don't give a dame to each other. Ma Ying Joul is a PhD, but Frank Hsieh is not. So Mr. Lee Yuan Tseh will likely support Hsieh....

以諾貝爾之名, 行竊國之事

Lee enjoys his prestige as a Nobel prize winner and the influence that comes with it. Unfortunately, he likes to stick his head into matters he is not familiar with.

In 2004 he had a chance to alter the election. But he continued to support Chen Suie Bian which was his biggest mistake.

In the 2008 election, he ought to keep his mouth shut and let people pick without his influence.

李遠哲說：國民黨若再贏總統，台灣會陷入「不平衡的危險狀態」，他對謝長廷有"期待". 2000 年，李遠哲組國政顧問團，公開挺扁，是陳水扁當選總統的重要因素之一，時至今日，李遠哲承認，扁不是理想的總統荒廢政權，出了許多金錢醜聞，但仍然堅持並不後悔當年挺扁。

2004年，林義雄和李遠哲聯合發起立委減半的修案，將立委選制改為「單一選區兩票制」。最近立委選舉實踐這套制度的結果，不僅使民進黨遭到慘敗，而且讓小黨全軍覆沒，台灣的民主發展受到深遠的影響，但李遠哲也沒有向國人道歉。

這一連串事例，不禁讓人懷疑：李遠哲到底有沒有「責任」觀念？弄出這麼多紕漏，他為什麼還能把自己的責任推得乾乾淨淨，毫無愧疚之意？

從李遠哲的言行中，我們可以很清楚的看出：「台灣意識」是民進黨眾多執政亂象的心理基礎。只要拿出「愛台灣」、「台灣人的利益」作為藉口，任何作為都具有了正當性，任何過錯也都不必負責。

李遠哲獲得了諾貝爾化學獎，在「台灣意識」驅使下，他涉入了太多自己不懂的事務，讓整個台灣社會往下沉淪。

看到自己摯愛的社會日趨沉淪，卻看不出自己的意識型形就是造成問題的罪魁禍首，還想用「台灣意識」來救台灣，這才是李遠哲的最大悲劇。

However, this quote can apply only outside of taiwan, and if one must use it in taiwan, then he must modified it appropriately, such as: "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you can only fool all the taiwanese people all the time".

The deep green are fooled all the time. They are about 30% of the voters.

The mediocres which are about another 30% of the voters get fooled sometimes.

Another 30% is for the blue sky.

The remaining 10% dosen't care.

Lien was born in Sanshi Province, China. By DPP, he is categorized an FP.

Dr. Lee Yuan Tseh supports the independent Taiwan movement and he will keep supporting DPP at all cost. All Frank Hsieh should do is keep stiring up the 台灣意識 of mediocre voters. But this time the tide is turned, because the corrupted DPP will be forsaked by majority of voters in the presidential election.

Frank Hsieh who is seemingly running a twisted lip campaign will soon rejected by the mediocres.

李遠哲對於他在2000年和2004年挺扁所導致八年來台灣的向下沉淪影響，並沒有敏銳的認識. 乃至於竟想期待謝長廷來制衡國民黨,再誤台灣。

The trouble is that Lee has tolerated Bian and DPP's blatant wrong doings such as inciting racial segregation, calling foreign provincers pigs, garbbing public assets for selfish gains, disregarding the commonly accepted law, and ignoring welfare of people. Lee thinks that it is a transition state and things will eventually settle. But people cannot afford another 4 years of DPP's ransack of Taiwan. By the fact that people vouted out the DPP in the Legislative Yuan, Lee Yuan Tseh ought to know to keep his mounth shot this time. And let people choose without his influence.
