在4日「超級星期二續集」的民主黨初選中，喜萊莉連贏俄德兩大州--俄州大勝14%、德州小勝4%，使她原已被評論家視為失敗的選戰起死回生，這固然令她的支持者感到高興，但更令人動容的是她的奮戰精神。

       在投票前，她已11連敗，德俄兩州的民調又顯示歐巴瑪再度上演後來居上的戲碼，輿論也一面倒地傾向歐巴瑪，甚至出現迫她退選的壓力。

       但喜萊莉不為一面倒的輿論所動，堅持奮戰下去。她改變策略，向歐巴瑪發動勇猛的批評--批評歐巴瑪經驗不足，在國家發生危急大事時，難當三軍統帥。她又選擇在失業率高、經濟破產的俄州進行反攻，看準歐巴瑪的理想主義在這裏難受歡迎，以現實主義 (承諾為民眾爭取就業機會、醫療保險、以及改善經濟)爭取工人階級選民的支持。

       4日的投票結果，除了顯示美國選民對歐巴瑪的「改變」訊息未完全信服，也顯示美國選民對喜萊莉和她的「治國必需經驗」訊息沒有完全拒絕；更重要的是，這次投票結果顯示了：喜萊莉能夠在劣勢下奮戰和反攻，並且能夠贏得勝利。

       喜萊莉連贏德俄兩大州，更使美國選民對她贏取「大州」的能力刮目相看--她拿下加州、紐約州、新澤西、麻州、以及現在的德俄兩州。相對之下，歐巴瑪雖然贏得較多的州，卻不能在大州中勝出。民主黨現在已不得不重新考慮贏取大州對11月大選的重要性。

       4日的一役，使喜萊莉的選戰得以繼續下去--下一輪大戰是4月22日的賓州初選。在未來的選戰中，喜萊莉當然會繼續發揮她的奮戰精神(黨代表票仍然落後給歐巴瑪)，而美國選民也因為她在俄德兩州所展現的奮戰精神而對她作出新的評估。(世界日報，3.5.2008)

Hi, Catherine, I feel the same way about Hillary.

In the beginning of the primaries, I had no idea to support her because I was considering a woman's physical condidation. Her supporters said to me that if Margaret Thatcher can do the job as UK Prime Minister, Hillary will do the same for the US. I argued that UK is a SMALL country, and America ( and the world) is too big for a woman. Later, when I saw Hillary working for her nomination from the East Coast to the West Coast, I know she is physically, with a brain suitable for the job as American president. Furthermore, We still need a GREY hair in the White House. Good luck to her.

　　再往後的選戰，人們要看的不是會改變的空氣，而是牛肉來自何方．歐巴瑪本週二已從峰頂回落，如他再繼續不停耍嘴皮子而拿不出東西，先打包回家的，應該不是有經驗的紅衣女王而是賣空氣的肯亞之子．

Bill, I agree with you.

I also believe that, if Hillary wins the nomination and the presidency, she will also make some huge changes. As you know, the slogan--"CHANGE" has first been used by Obama camp, therefore, Hillary's staffers could not copy it again. However, We will see that she will make some changes after election. We all know that the black people were not allowed to enlist in WWI, WWII, even they wanted to die for America. It has been changed. And untill 1920's the women got their franchise. The last big change was LBJ's Bill of Civil Rights of 1967-8. So, American people want to make a change just as Taiwanese people. My projection is a Democrat will take over the White House, and a KMT will be the next president.
