Chinese are coming! Chinese are coming! Nobody wants to see a strong China except Chinese people(excluding some independent Taiwanese). France, Germany, UK?, caught the chance by the Tibet Incident, boycotting the opening ceremony, and US Congress made a proposal asking Bush to follow suit. Olympic Games is mixed up with politics in 1936, 1960, 1976, 1980 1984, and now 2008. Do you remember 1900 when 8 imperialist nations attacked China(Ching Dynasty)? Nobody wants to see a big China. But they will be sorry.

Please note that if Obama was elect he will adversely affect the China-Taiwan-USA relation because Black American simply hate Chinese. Blacks are current going to all the blogs, "letters to editor" of newspapers/magazines and others to voice their support for Obama. Chinese should the same to support Clinton. One example newspaper is the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette newspaper Picking Sides section.

I agree with you. All (99%) Americans, whites(KKK) and blacks hate to see a strong China. They want 2 Chinas. They are talking about Human Rights and Tibet, what about blacks in the 1960's and 1970's, especially in Mississippi(a movie--Mississippi Burning?),Alabama, Louisiana(I lived there for 2 years), Texas( blacks in 1990 and today)....When I was at college in 1972, my Chinese professor from Texas told us that if a white man killed a black, he was acquited of charge(freed). However, a black killed a white man who will be lynched to death. You don't need me to tell you this.

China should abandon communism.

The real issues are Beijing's air is too polluted and the food China serves is laced with growth hormon, pesticide, and antibiotics.

Sometime in 1920's(?), Douglas MacArthur and his deputy Dwight Eisenhower led a huge cavalry fired and killed a bunch of WWI veterans in Washington, DC near the White House where was American Human Rights? Tell it to American Congress, of course they know American history.

What about American cavalry killed thousands and thousands of Native Indians in 1800's? And where is Human Rights? No nation wants to see a strong China, especially a strong unity of China-Taiwan

Is this Tibet Incident a plot? Why did it happen at this time close to the Beijing Olympic Games?

Dear For China: I agree with you. Yes, I do, my dear blog friend. Sacrificing a few's interest should be based on peaceful , non-brutal ways to unify. Jiang Kai Shek used brutal, bloody ways to suppress Taiwanese in 228 case, the suppressed families hated Jiang so much even after many years. President Lee , representing ROC paid large amount of money as compensation to the families. This kind of cases was and will not be allowed in Lee, Chen and Ma's presidency. Taiwan had paid a lot to learn the cherished lesson.

Many countries encourage China and Tibet to held dialogue . Dala Lama also call for it. Why Can not Beijing??

These US senators should work on the recession, oil price, revival of American economy, not on boycott of Beijing Olympics.

China will go on with the Olympics no matter what, even if only the Chinese attending. It would be a record breaking event that China had all the Olympic gold, if no other country come to competite in the games.

Ma Yin Jou was right that ROC might just join the worldwide motion for boycott Beijing Olympics.

Let the boycott become real. So that China - Taiwan peace negotiation can be fruitful.

The Congressional proposal to boycott Beijing Olympics might be just an April Fool's Day joke. Bush will attend the opening ceremony, just as originally planned. The reason why those old athletes said they would boycott was because their skills were wanning as they were not confident to win gold medals. But lots of young and hopeful are waiting to gain fame and fortune in this event.

It would be great if all the world leaders come and fire at China about human rights and democracy, right at the opening ceremony, to force China to change.

It will be down in the record that the 2008 Olympics is a vehicle to transform China.

Tibetans are slave to the Lamasary which is not democratic by its self. But I agree that China let Tibet become autonomous, but maintaining soverignity over Tibet and providing national security. The other things such as doing business and mining can be private sectors ventures between Chinese and Tibetans.

The independent Tibet organization is not endorsed by Dalai Lama. It should be stopped.

Have more protests on human rights but no boycott of Olympics.

Communist China is NOT China. More protests? my friends, do you remember what happened at MacArthur Park last year when thousands and thousands immigrants protesting their human rights? LA police officers beat the demos and media like dogs. This is American Human Rights? The Latino Organizations are going to call a big demo on May 1 because they have NO Human Rights. Again, this is America.

No need to argue. When the South decided to separated from the North, there was a Civil War in 1861. Be reasonable!

U.S., such a big democratic country must be governed by law. We could have human rights because we abide by the law, for instance, settling in the country legally.

American government is too kind for Latinos. A large number of them has been smuggling to U.S. for better life illegally for many many years. Illegal immigration has been an a long-term unsolved, tough difficulty to U.S. Federal Government.

百多年來欧美大國对中國不断欺凌。現在環境較為好轉，可以举辦奧運，又遭欧美各國藉人權來威脅杯葛。中國人現在所求的是生活安定，不是什麽欧美式的人权。

國際奧會將討論未來奧運取消國際傳遞聖火

（法新社北京八日電） 官員今天說，北京奧運聖火傳遞一再遭到騷擾與抗議後，奧林匹克運動領導人本週將討論未來奧運會取消國際傳遞聖火事宜。

國際奧會執行委員會委員戈斯帕告訴記者說，國際奧會執行委員會將於後天開始在北京舉行的三天會議中，檢討未來奧運會國際傳遞聖火之事。
