粽子 Sticky rice(Zong Zi)

去年中國年, 我做了一些粽子送鄰居.
I made some Zong Zis for my neighbors last Chinese Near Year.

鄰居大多都喜歡粽子.
Most of them liked the pyramid shaped sweet rice wrapped in bamboo leaf dumpling very much.

他們認識粽子.
They called it sticky rice or sweet rice.

只有一人告訴我, 粽子仍在冰凍.
Except one told me, she hated to let me know that Zong Zis were still in refrigeration.

我說,微波爐熱 30-60 秒即可食.
I said, Mocrowaved for 30-60 seconds would be fine.

 



農家食譜----粽子
Farmer's simple food----Sticky rice

粽葉,棉線
Dried bamboo leaves, cotton thread
糯米一包(五磅)
1 packag of sweet rice(5 Lbs)
綜合蔬菜(紅蘿蔔丁, 玉米粒, 青豆)二磅
Mixed vege(diced carrots, corn kernels, green beans) 2 Lbs
豬肉
Pork
一或兩片火腿
1 or 2 peices of Chinese Jin Hwa Hwou Twei or Virginia ham

準備Preparation--粽葉浸泡水中至軟.
                        Soak dry bamboo leaves in water till refresh and soft.
                        稍洗糯米並瀝乾.
                        Wash and drain sweet rice.
                        豬肉切 1.5 英吋方塊, 酒與醬油醃漬.
                        Dice pork into 1.5 inch cubes, merinate with rice wine and soy sauce.
                        火腿切 1/8 X 1 X 1.5 英吋薄片.
                        Slice ham thin to 1/8 X 1 X 1.5 inch.

做法Method-------粽葉寬邊摺成三角錐型.
                        Fold the round side of bamboo leaf into pyramid shape.
                        順序放一湯匙糯米, 一撮蔬菜丁, 肉塊, 一片火腿, 一撮蔬菜丁, 糯米.
                        Add a table spoon of sweet rice, a pinch of vege, pork cube, 
                        a slice of ham, a pinch of vege, and sweet rice in order.
                        壓蓋粽葉.
                        Push bamboo leaf to cover it.   
                        摺包粽葉尖端成三角錐型.
                        Fold and wrap the tip of bamboo leaf to shape it into a pymarid.
                        棉線紮緊.
                        Tighten it with cotton thread well.
                        置深鍋, 水蓋過粽子.
                        Water cover Zong-Zis in deep pot.
                        滾約三十分鐘.
                        Bring to boil for about 30 minutes.

好創意的做法。真不是平常人想像得到的搭配。

不知是否我太無能,每次您說很容易做的「簡易」食譜,在我看來都好像很不容易上手。但是,看您介紹的做法,又好像真的很容易的樣子。

真的很喜歡農家食譜。

謝謝過獎! 哪兒難的, 多練幾次就會了. 我自小過年過節, 一年的學習, 包不到一兩次粽子. 其後忙著帶孩子, 直到他們離家, 才再開始包粽子.
您若一年多包幾次, 多練習. 數年之後, 孰能生巧, 必無問題.
